Ghana Forty Under 40 Awards has appointed Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong as a board member of the award scheme (HUMANITARIAN AWARDS GLOBAL) in Ghana.
The Awards is to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished businesses doing humanitarian works and leaders from a wide range of industries who are committed to improving lives and preserving the environment through their work and businesses. We believe that in putting the spotlight on these humanitarian efforts, it will not only celebrate them but help build a strong platform for them by giving voice and opportunities to the next generation of industry pacesetters while building a positive attitude. Bio: Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong is a multiple award-winning media practitioner and an accomplished entrepreneur. She was recently honoured at the 2020 Forty Under 40 Awards event in recognition of her excellence in business under the category of Consultancy and Professional Service. Nana Yaa was awarded Media Personality of the Year by the Ghana Leadership Awards in December 2019. The Ghana Peace Awards also recognised her for her extraordinary leadership achievements and contribution to Ghana’s Media landscape and Social Change. In the same year, her immense Contributions to the lives of children was recognised and rewarded at 2016’s Kids Choice Awards for her Outstanding Contributions to Kids Television and Entertainment. As Channel Manager for Joy Prime, Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong received the Outstanding Channel Manager Award at the C-BAZE Awards 2018, in recogni2on of her superior leadership and contribu2on to Media and Entertainment in Ghana. Nana Yaa’s long and distinguished career in Television started back in 1999 with Fontonfrom TV.
The astute media professional is Multi -talented, highly skilful, and for 21 years of her media career, has been passionate about using entrepreneurial approach to managing the brands in her care to achieve sustainable and profitable results. During her Media employment, she oversaw the Set Up, Design and Management of several TV Stations including all three Crystal TV Channels, Multimedia Group’s Cine Afrik, 4kids and The Jesus Channel as well Joy Prime Channel which she set up and managed until September 2019. Nana Yaa continues in her media leadership stride through Industry Consultancy where she serves many local and international clients. Nana Yaa’s Journey in entrepreneurship started in 2007 and spanning numerous business investments in fashion, marketing, FMCG, Telecom, etc. As an accomplished entrepreneur, Nana Yaa is a firm believer, that when you make room for the good stuff, great stuff will come in abundance. She is the owner and CEO of the front line Business & Consulting firm, Elohay Group which specialises in Marketing, PR, Branding & Advertising, Telecom, Trade, Manufacturing, Business Process Outsourcing, Design and Management of Media Platforms , Real Estate and Events Management.
The company has also successfully rolled out many PR, Advertising & Marketing Campaigns for numerous local and multinational businesses. As founder of the NGO, League of Extraordinary Women, Nana Yaa leads an incubation program that nurtures the youth and women through enriched development programs that offer insights on business, entrepreneurship and coping with life’s challenges. Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong holds a BSC. Business Administration (Banking & Finance) Degree from the University of Ghana Business School, a Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM UK and an MBA International Trade from Anhalt University, Germany and GTUC, Ghana. Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong is currently pursuing LLB Laws Degree.
